"We have had the fortunate blessing of having Bronson Haunga of Maluliku General Contracting cross our paths during our building process. Yes, a true blessing. We were in an incredibly terrible situation with a builder that was way out of his abilities plus unwilling and unable to see past his shortcomings.

Long story short, Bronson and his team came in and fixed everything, passed inspection every time and best of all, he provided me with solutions and options that could fit our budget. Even more impressive was his ability to not just build, fix things (even though it took a lot of back tracking), but to look further at areas that may potentially become an issue. Additionally, he is able to do complex builds like our custom home with a lot of “unique” features and handcrafted woodwork and built-ins. It was a massive undertaking of a very large home that needed a keen eye, expertise in building, relationships with sub-contractors, diligence, and integrity.

We have personally observed how this effects the performance and professionalism of all his sub-contractors while on site without Mr. Haunga being present. The hallmark of their behavior while on the job site is the language used. The sub-contractors did not swear or use profanity.

Maluliku General Contacting completed two major projects for us: our Waimea (Kamuela) house and a condo restoration project (Waikoloa) after it sustained massive water damage. Both projects were completed on time. Mr. Haunga communicated well with us and provided continuous updates. As a result, we were able to makes timely decisions and course corrections as needed. He also provided solid recommendations and suggestions during construction that made both of our properties much more functional and aesthetically pleasing after the work was completed. These recommendations were critical to us because we were novice, and this was our first house we built using our own design.

We are now planning and designing another house and Mr. Bronson Haunga is our general contractor. We have referred others to him and will continue to do so. We have learned through sad and expensive experiences that some contractors talk good but fail to perform. Maluliku General Contracting is a diamond among the rough.
